Yifei Li is Country Chair for Man Group in China, one of the world’s largest hedge fund managers.
Before joining Man Group, Li was Managing Director of GLG Partners for China which then merged into Man Group in 2010.
Prior to that, Li was Managing Director of MTV Networks, Greater China, EVP of MTV Networks Asia, and Chief Representative of Viacom China.
Li has over 18 years of senior management experience, having successfully led the expansion of several multinational companies in China in the early 90s.
In May 2001, Yifei Li was selected as one of 25 of Rising Stars-Global Leaders for the Next Generation by Fortune, was on the cover of Fortune Magazine and from 2001-2004 was selected as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women by Fortune magazine.
She was also selected as one of Ten Women to Watch in Asia by Wall Street Journal in 2005 and 2006.
Li has a Bachelor of Law degree from Foreign Affairs College in Beijing and an M.A. in International Relations from Baylor in the US. She is a global board member of GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization), founder and Secretary-General of China International Alternative Investment Association and co-founder of China Team for America’s Cup 32nd and 33rd Regatta.
Li is also a national champion in Chinese Martial Arts.
